Raymarine is a marine electronics manufacturer known primarily in the sailing, cruising, and offshore boating markets rather than the freshwater fishing segment dominated by Garmin, Lowrance, and Humminbird. The current Raymarine fish finder and chartplotter lineup includes the Axiom series — Axiom Pro, Axiom XL, and the standard Axiom+ — offering large touchscreen displays with RealVision 3D sonar, which renders a three-dimensional view of the underwater terrain. This 3D sonar approach differentiates Raymarine from the 2D imaging focus of the big three fishing brands.

Raymarine's strengths lie in integrated marine systems rather than dedicated fishing features. Their autopilot systems are highly regarded, their quantum radar technology offers excellent close-range performance, and their LightHouse operating system provides a polished user interface. For boat owners who prioritize navigation, radar, and system integration alongside basic fish finding, Raymarine offers a compelling package.

The brand has less market penetration in the recreational fishing community compared to Garmin, Lowrance, and Humminbird, partly because it does not offer a forward-facing live sonar system comparable to LiveScope, ActiveTarget, or MEGA Live. Anglers whose primary use case is fish finding tend to choose one of the big three, while boaters who fish casually but need comprehensive navigation and radar typically consider Raymarine alongside those brands.
